Transforming A Gown

You come into our Shop and fall in love with a gown, but there is
only one problem.

Maybe the gown doesn't have the right sleeves, or sleeves at all.

Maybe it's not your favorite neckline.

Or maybe the back is too low or not low enough.

Well, that is where our Seamstresses come in and we wanted to show you an
example of one of these changes.

One of our Brides fell in love with this beautiful lace gown, but the
neckline and sleeves were not what she was looking for.

Here is what our Seamstresses did to make it her dream gown.

We raised the neckline a little bit and gave her the sleeves she was
looking for.

The back was another story.

Even though it is beautiful how it is, it was a little too low for
our Bride.

We seamlessly raised the back for her and filled
in the sleeves.

Would you believe us if we told you that this was one of our easier
alterations?

Normally we take completely strapless gowns and totally rebuild
the bodice with beautiful sleeves.

Our alterations to our gowns are what we are known for and it is so fun for us to help Brides
design their dream gowns.

Every Bride wants a Wedding Gown that "looks like it was made for her," and at
The Brides' Shop, our Brides can actually say that their gown
was made especially for them.

Natalie: The Wedding

First came the ring..

Then the dress..

Then five doting bridesmaids..

and a sign to lead the way.

All leading up to that one big moment..
Here comes the bride.

Our gorgeous bride Natalie, wowed her soon to be groom in a Justin Alexander venetian lace gown.
Our in house alterations team customized Natalie's dress to be strapless and fit her perfectly.
We wish we could take credit for the other beautiful details in Natalie's wedding, but this sweet bride knows her personal style so well; it shows consistently through these gorgeous photos.

Natalie took advantage of a new tradition that allows the bride and groom time together before the wedding ceremony and reception to be with one another and appreciate the moment.
The "first look" is also a wonderful time to take photographs while not feeling hurried.

The couple's wedding ceremony required no back drop and minimal decorations, as the surrounding scenery was breathtaking! In such an intimate setting, you can truly see the personality and love this newly married couple has for one another.

Congratulations you two! Your wedding was beautiful!
We look forward to your reception feature in the coming weeks.

"I want to thank you for your help with my dress, finding it, altering it to my request, everything, it was seamless, and was such an exciting process. I received so many compliments on the dress and was happy to refer them to The Brides Shop:)"- Natalie

Laura & Ryan

When Laura met Ryan, she knew she had found the one. The same can be said for her Mia Solano wedding gown. Laura's slender frame looks stunning in her lace and tulle trumpet fit gown featuring 3/4 sleeves and a Queen Anne neckline. The couples lovely flowers were designed by the very talented Melissa of Blossom Sweet. Lucky for us, Laura's sister is none other than Elizabeth Taylor Frandsen, one of our very favorite photographers. Take a look at this couples gorgeous groomal session and you will definitely see why.

Shelby

Shelby had been to several bridal boutiques before wandering into The Brides' Shop. She was on the hunt for the dress of her dreams, but was unable to find a gown that fit all of her needs. Luckily, with the help of our amazing tailoring team, we found a dress for Shelby and then customized it to be exactly what she wanted. Starting with a soft, layered tulle skirt, our alterations team rebuilt an entire lace bodice with custom lace that was chosen by the bride herself. There are so many details about Shelby's wedding that we love, including her gorgeous flowers provided by one of our preferred vendors, Blossom Sweet.
