Honeymoon on a Dime, Downtown

There are a lot of great reasons to keep your Honeymoon local. Maybe you waited too long to apply for your international passport, maybe you decided to use your Honeymoon funds as a down payment on a home, or maybe you have just never experienced all that Salt Lake City has to offer. By stepping out of your regular routine, you will discover a five star experience right at your fingertips!

You will be staying at Hotel Monaco, a chic and sophisticated boutique hotel. This stunning hotel is located in the heart of downtown within walking distance of world class shopping, dining, and entertainment.

Enjoy stylishly modern rooms with five star amenities readily available. Schedule an in-room massage to enjoy an hour of pampering in the privacy of your own room.

Enjoy complimentary tea and coffee every morning, a hosted wine hour every evening, and not to mention the hotel's award winning restaurant, Bambara; recently named Salt Lake City's Best Restaurant. Dine in for a late lunch or make a reservation for late night dessert to experience fine dining at a fraction of the cost.

No need to pay for expensive cab rides, the beauty of a Honeymoon downtown is being able to walk wherever you want to go. If you want to venture a little further, Trax is right next to the hotel.
Walk across the street to enjoy a live show at Capital Theatre.

Walk up the street to the new City Creek Center for an eventful day of shopping. Featuring high end retail shops and elegant dining, you can treat yourself right with all the money you saved on airfare!

After a full day of shopping, take a romantic carriage ride around Temple Square

Salt Lake City has a rich art culture and even a full day of exploring will leave you wanting more. Jump on Trax and head only a few blocks to Library Square. There you will find the modern architecture of The City Library, where not only books can be found, but quaint cafes and local retail shops

The Leonardo, Salt Lake City's newest art and science museum will keep you occupied for hours.

While you are in the neighborhood, don't forget to bring your camera. You are going to want to capture the beautiful scenery all around you, including the historic City-County building.

If you still are wanting more, hop back onto the Trax and head back toward Abravanel Hall; home of the Utah Symphony, and part of the Salt Lake County Center for the Arts.

If you can fit all of these activities into this 5 day 4 night Honeymoon, you will spend just over $2,000.
Once you fall in love with the city, you are going to want to immediately start planning your next getaway.

Flowers!

When deciding on a color scheme for your wedding, just take a walk through a garden. By using a color palette found in nature, you won't be stuck matching everything in the same shade of pink. Decide on a color scheme that works in a range of tones of your favorite color. Talk with a professional about combining other complimentary shades to make your favorite color pop. There is no better professional to talk to about your color scheme than with your florist.
Utah is full of talented florists, but we would like to take a moment to highlight a few of our favorites!

Sarah Winward of Honey of a Thousand Flowers. Sarah's creations are fresh, innovative, and romantic. We love the sense of balance created in each piece.  Her artistic vision is apparent with each arrangement bringing on a personality of it's own. With her help, your wedding will go down in the books.

Petal Pixie. Don't be afraid to think out of the box. Petal Pixie did just that by adding feathers, fruits, and succulents into these fun and creative arrangements.

Corrie

When going through the gowns at The Brides' Shop, you will take notice of one thing; every gown has a unique personality. The funnest part of our job is matching that gown to its perfect bride. Corrie tried on several gowns at the shop, but when she slipped into this impeccably tailored silk dupioni gown, it was a perfect match. The natural color of the gown complimented Corrie's skin tone, the crisp seaming highlighted her phenomenal figure, and the classic simplicity of design made her shine.
We love the mocha color sash Corrie found to bring in a pop of color.
We can't get over Corrie's gorgeous bouquet. The grooms boutineer has us smitten as well.
Congratulations Corrie. Your groom is one lucky guy!

Bridal Shower Trend: All Wrapped Up in Bows!

We not only want to dress you for your wedding day, but for all the fun events leading up to the special occasion. Your bridal shower is one of the funnest days before the wedding and details should not be overlooked. We want to add a feminine and flirty element into your bridal shower attire; bows! Bows are not just for cute little girls anymore. Adding a bow to your attire is fun, chic, and sophisticated.

A darling lace dress with a wrap sash bow in champagne would make a lovely statement at your shower.

We adore these classic ivory heels with a bow adornment on the side.

A delicate hair piece by Sarah Seven adds the bow element in a fun and flirty way.

This gold glitter clutch put a modern spin on the bow.

We love the idea of handing out hair bows as party favors to your guests to wear in their hair at the shower.

Ultimately, we want you to have fun and feel like the beautiful bride that you are.

Honeymoon on a Dime, Lava Hot Springs

Who says that having a memorable Honeymoon has to be in a far off land. There are so many beautiful places to be explored close to home, one being Lava Hot Springs. Located just two and a half hours north of Salt Lake City, Lava Hot Springs is your home away from home. Which is why we recommend booking your stay at Home Hotel. This gorgeously remodeled hotel built in 1918 is full of character and charm. Each guest suite features inspiring artwork from the likes of Pablo Picasso to Georgia O'Keeffe. Each room is equipped with a private hot springs bath. Be sure to book their Romantic Gift Package to enjoy chocolate, chilled sparkling cider, and therapeutic bubble bath upon arrival.

No Honeymoon would be complete without indulging yourselves to a couples massage. Aura Soma Lava is the place to be for complete pampering.
Lava Hot Springs is named after the natural hot springs the little town is built around. Bubbling out of natural underground springs, the hot water is laden with minerals. You and your sweetheart can spend a day relaxing and focus on your time together as a newly married couple.
The park is also known for their Olympic sized swimming pool and water park.
Enjoy a romantic dinner at the little town's award winning restaurant, Portneuf Grill  & Lounge. Featured in Sunset Magazine, Portneuf provides a "distinctive, inspired dining experience. Featuring Northwest inspired cuisine of fresh seafood, USDA aged prime steak, pastas and vegetarian dishes."
A little friendly competition never hurt anybody, play a game of darts or a game of pool at the local arcade.
Other activities include Lava Zipline Adventures, perusing the local museum, golfingmini golf, or horse drawn carriage rides. A lovely walk on the quiet streets allows for a romantic evening.
This quiet and relaxing 4 day 3 night Honeymoon can be enjoyed for under $1,000.
