Honeymoon on a Dime: Lake Powell

Are you craving a beach honeymoon? Than look no further than Lake Powell! With over 2,000 miles of shoreline, (more than the entire U.S. west coast!), you are sure to find a private oasis with your loved one. The lake is so huge that there are several marinas surrounding it. I recommend the Wahweap Marina as it is the largest marina and the location is by far the most active.

Book your stay at the Courtyard. Located in the little city of Page, AZ. Only a five minute drive to the lake, this location offers you comfortable rooms, an outdoor pool, and breath taking views.

Relax in your king sized suite featuring a private balcony with stunning views.

Enjoy dinner and drinks at the hotels on site restaurant and lounge.

Lake Powell can be as adventurous or as relaxing as you want. For the best combination of a relaxing adventure, book the Rainbow Bridge Boat Tour. The trip is a little over 5 hours long, so packing drinks and snacks is always a great idea!

Other adventures include kayaking to Ice Cream Canyon, it is as beautiful as it is delicious!

If you are feeling really adventurous, try paddleboarding, jet skiing, or wakeboarding.

Take a photography tour of Antelope Canyon. You won't be disappointed!

A visit to the Carl Hayden Vistor Center to view the impressive Glen Canyon Dam will leave you in awe.

Other impressive sites include a quick hike out to Horseshoe Bend.

Activities go far beyond hiking and boating. Golfing, bowling, movies, hot air ballooning, museum tour, or horseback riding.

Now just because you are in such gorgeous natural surroundings doesn't mean that you will be bored during the evening. Take a romantic dinner cruise around the lake.

Go grab sushi at Blue Buddha Sushi Lounge.

Stop in for a variety of amazing dishes at the Dam Bar & Grille. I highly suggest the fish tacos!

Or sit quietly together and enjoy a beautiful sunset.

This five day four night Honeymoon will cost you just under $2,000.

Bridesmaid Style

I know we have all heard "You can wear it again!", only to end up with a style specific dress that could only be worn at.... I'm drawing a blank. It really is tough to wear a bridesmaid dress again without looking like your trying too hard. Luckily for modern bridesmaids, the trends are leaning in your favor. With more softly draped chiffons and trendy cocktail dresses making appearances, I am sure any bridesmaid would find an excuse to wear these lovely frocks again!

Brides are letting go of the idea that every bridesmaid must be wearing an identical dress in an identical color. By selecting a favorite designer, a bride can give her okay on color swatches, fabrics, and a selection of styles that her bridesmaids can choose from. That way each girl can choose the silhouette and color that is most flattering to her.

It is customary for the bridesmaid to pay for her own dress, so when choosing the style, keep price in mind.
Choose a selection of gowns at varying price points.

Some brides may just hand over color swatches from her wedding and let her bridesmaids choose a dress completely on their own. This definitely ups the odds that the bridesmaid dress can be worn again.

Your bridesmaids are the girls you love! So show them some love when choosing out the dress they will be wearing on your wedding day!

On your  wedding day, it's all about the details. Katelin-Jane paid special attention to all the little details that made her wedding day truly unique. With the help of the talented Alixann Loosle Photography, all the little details were be forever preserved in these gorgeous photos.

The bride's Valentino shoes are AMAZING!! Love the poppy red color and the chic little bow!

The groomsman's socks are pretty cool too!

The flower girls are both trendy and adorable. We love their darling and dainty floral crowns.

The bridesmaids are pretty in pink! The ruffled collar is fun and unique.

The reception was held at "This is the Place" Heritage Park. No detail was overlooked. Take a look at the gorgeous venue highlighted by sparkling chandeliers.

The color pallet of soft blush, and ivory create a romantic environment. The touches of bronze and green bring in a delicate contrast to the setting.

The refreshments are sweetly accessorized with fun straws, burlap, and a little pink ribbon.

To top it off, Katelin-Jane left in an all lace getaway gown! Congratulations you two!!
