Allison

****
Allison came to The Brides' Shop in search of her dream dress. Her mom flew in from out of state for the occasion. Our goal was to make it a memorable experience for the whole family. When Allison tried on this beautiful Enzoani gown in a soft alabaster color, her face lit up. The gown was originally strapless, but with the help of our in house alterations, Allison left with a custom made sleeve that fit beautifully.

A Few Tips From The Experts.

It is safe to say that every girl wants to be breathtaking on her wedding day. Even with all the beautiful details that have taken time and inspiration to plan, all eyes will ultimately land upon the beaming bride in her dress. Until the dress has been found however, this may seem like an overwhelming thought. Here at The Bride's Shop, we are ready to help you find the dress of your dreams. With trained and knowledgeable consultants, our goal is to make your shopping experience fun, exciting, and memorable. By taking note of the following guidelines, your shopping experience will be even more successful and stress free.

*Call in advance and set an appointment. Many bridal shops are happy to accept walk ins, but an appointment ensures one on one attention for the bride.

*Limit 2-3 friends or family to come along. The more opinions you have, the harder it is to please. You must remember that everyone has a different vision of the bride, the most important vision is yours.

*Begin your search at least 6 months before the wedding. Dresses are custom made by hand and take 4-5    months to be shipped. If alterations are needed, it is best to plan for more time. If the engagement is short, be prepared to find a dress quickly. If lucky enough to find your dream dress in stock, you have to act quick, or risk the dress being sold to another willing bride.

*Be honest and open with your consultant. Their job is to help you find a dress you will love without the pressure of going over budget. Decide on a price range that you will feel comfortable staying within.

*Be open minded. It is always great to have a general idea of the dress you are searching for, however, a dress cannot be judged by the hanger. Some of the most beautiful gowns need to be showcased on a body.

*Consider alterations. Cost of alterations will vary depending on the nature of the work needed. At The Bride's Shop we offer exclusive in house alterations, allowing the bride to express her creativity and personal touches to her gown.

*Don't stress. The most important factor in purchasing your wedding gown is to feel excited and beautiful when you are wearing it. There are thousands of beautiful gowns, your job is to find one that makes you feel incredible. If the shape is flattering, the fabric appealing, the color compliments your skin tone, and your smile cannot be wiped from your face... You have found your dress!

*Once the dress has been found, don't try on another wedding dress. Stop looking, embrace your decision, and move onto the next step of planning your wedding.

The most important advice of all is to have fun! This is an exciting moment in your life and should be treasured. The consultants at The Bride's Shop understand this and hope to make your shopping experience a memorable one.

Brynn

When a bride meets her groom, sparks fly. The same can be said for the dress. When Brynn tried on this one of a kind Justin Alexander gown, sparks flew. (The Brides' Shop was one of the lucky stores that picked up this dress before the designer decided not to release the design.) With custom alterations to personalize her gown, Brynn made a show stopping appearance on her wedding day. We love, love, LOVE her in this dress.

The stunning silk mikado of this Justin Alexander gown is photographed so beautifully. The great seaming of the dress creates a flattering hourglass figure on this beautiful bride. We are head over heels in love with the beaded shoulders and high modern neckline.

The stunning silk and crystal buttons running down the entire length of the train add drama.
Can we also mention that we are in love with Brynn's bouquet?!

Now that we have taken in the gorgeous details of Brynn's dress, let's take a look at the whole picture!

Congratulations to Brynn and her lucky husband Colton!

Bridal Hair

Once you have found your dress, the fun really begins. Choosing accessories and deciding on your hair style is a vital part to your wedding day look. If you are a girl who wears her hair down on most days, you may feel more comfortable wearing your hair down on your wedding day; or you may love the formality of an updo. Keep the style of your gown in mind, a simple gown can allow for a more elaborate hairstyle with lovely eye catching accessories. A gown with more intricate design might be balanced with a simple chignon. At the end of the day, wear your hair the way you love. Don't follow the trends, just love the way you look.

This fashion forward updo is daring and fun. I love the great ribbon hair accessory in neutral tones. By keeping your makeup in neutral tones, the look feels elegant.

For the ladies with short hair, a natural wavy curl and delicate tiara will go a long way.

A clean and classic chignon is a great choice. Especially for a bride that wants to highlight her jewelry.

Adorning a gorgeous updo with a hair comb will help secure the updo and accent the style.

For the bride who chooses not to wear a traditional veil on her wedding day, a birdcage veil is a great alternative. This look can be edgy, romantic, vintage, or classic; the right accessories will define the look.

A natural wavy style is beautiful for a garden setting. Depending on the hair accessory, you can change this look to fit your personal style.

I love vintage glamour, so naturally I would be drawn to this gorgeous look. I love the dramatic part in her hair and gorgeous curls. This feels just as formal as an updo.

Taylor

There is no better feeling than helping a bride find her dream dress; except the feeling that comes when her gown is customized to be everything she could ever want. Taylor fell in love with a Rosa Clara organza gown that was strapless. She also loved the bodice of another gown in the shop. We were able to customize her dream gown to have the simple sleeve she had hoped for, and the intricate beaded lace bodice she loved. Her vision came to life with this one of a kind custom gown. The dress is beautiful, but Taylor made it shine!

"I can't even express the love I STILL have for my dress! It was the most perfect thing on the most perfect day! Thank you for all your  help! I truly appreciate it! And a special thanks to the seamstress, she did an absolute incredible job!"

"Thank you for making my "dress shopping" an experience I will never ever forget! I am so thankful that you were the first place I went too and I knew right away that it was the last place I was going to have to go!"

Thank you to Burnt Exposure for the wonderful photography.
