Wedding Inspiration: Where does it come from?

You may not be one of those girls who have been dreaming about their wedding since they were six years old. You might just find yourself engaged, overflowing with happiness and joy, and completely overwhelmed with the thought of planning a wedding. If you have read our posts on creating a color theme and discovering your bridal style, then good for you! If not, now's your chance

We want to help spark that inspiration for the overall atmosphere of your wedding day. So where does that inspiration come from? Pinterest has been a big help for many modern brides, but it has also been linked to idea overload and feelings of been there seen that. Of course you want your wedding day to be memorable, and a reflection of who you are as a couple.

Here are a few ideas to get the creative juices flowing:

A fun way to gather inspiration and throw a date night in the mix, is to grab your sweetheart and head over to your local art museum. Spending time together discussing your favorite works will help generate ideas. There might just be one image that you both respond to and want to incorporate into your wedding.

Maybe you and your love have been discussing Honeymoon locations and have finally narrowed in on the place you want to go. Research the location together and you may just find yourself drawn to that cultures traditions, art, and lifestyle. Integrating your Honeymoon into your wedding day could be a fun way to share your excitement with all of your guests.

You can even be inspired by beautiful quotes, it doesn't have to be just one.  Maybe you can top your favors with a different inspirational quotes, or you can be more literal and structure the theme of your wedding around a quote that has inspired you.

Think back on to some of your favorite dates with your soon to be spouse. Was it a summer day picnic, roasting marshmallows by campfire, hot chocolate on a snowy day, or a Sunday morning brunch date?
You can incorporate the little details of your favorite times together for a truly unique event.

Is there a cheesy, romantic comedy that you catch yourselves watching over and over?

Or a book, that whenever you read, you wistfully think of the one you will marry?

Inspiration can really come from anywhere. Start to pay attention to the things that surround you and bring you happiness, and share them with the ones you love on one of the happiest days of your life.
