The talented Jessica Kettle and Heather Nan Parkinson conceptualized a stunning, inspiration fashion editorial to grace the pages of this year's Utah Bride & Groom. The Brides' Shop provided gowns from our exclusive designers and are more than thrilled with the outcome.

Amy

Our bride Amy looked lovely  on her wedding day; donning a white flowing chiffon gown. With intricate lace details and delicate beading, Amy's dress fit her style perfectly. We adore Amy's soft curls adorned with white flowers, her look is romantic and feminine.

We want to say congratulations to Amy and her new husband!

Braedin

 Braedin came to The Brides' Shop looking for a dress that was unique, romantic, and light. She found it, and with the help of our in house alterations team, she was able to create the dress she had been dreaming of. We adore Braedin's romantic boho style captured perfectly by Shannon Elizabeth Photography.

There are so many details from Braedin's wedding that we love. From her stunning bridal bouquet to her gorgeous gold wedding cake.

We want to wish the newlyweds all the best.

Highlights from Chicago Bridal Market

The Brides' Shop buyers just returned from Bridal Market in Chicago. We are beyond excited for our 2014 inventory and cannot wait to show you the dresses we brought back with us!

Although we were able to enjoy a refreshing walk down Chicago's famous Michigan St.,we spent most of our time here, at the Merchandise Mart ; searching for gorgeous gowns and accessories.

Market is a whirlwind and we had to keep a sharp editing eye; as to bring home only the most beautiful dresses out of the thousands that were showcased.

We were lucky enough to score front row seats to the markets fashion show.

 Cathedral veils are making a dramatic comeback this year!

We also attended exclusive designer fashion shows. Elaborate beading, delicate laces, silky chiffons; the bridal looks for 2014 are absolutely stunning!

Market was a huge success this year. We hope you will schedule a time to visit our boutique and see all the beautiful looks yourself. 

Kristen

Kristen is a bride that knows what she likes. Her innate sense of style led her to this gorgeous silk chiffon Justin Alexander gown. A ruched bodice and flowing a line skirt, this dress was what she had been dreaming of. There was only one slight detail missing... the sleeve! With the help of The Brides' Shop's alteration team, Kristen designed a custom lace sleeve that makes her gown truly unique.

The setting at La Caille is ethereal and romantic. The touch of blush is  extremely feminine; we are in love with that chair!

A lovely updo and classic jewelry create a timeless and sophisticated look. 

A simple veil is light and is the perfect bridal accessory.

Laurie Egbert did a phenomenal job on the flowers.

Blush garden roses add to her beautiful bouquet. We love the finishing touch of a crisp, satin bow.

Bridesmaid Style

I know we have all heard "You can wear it again!", only to end up with a style specific dress that could only be worn at.... I'm drawing a blank. It really is tough to wear a bridesmaid dress again without looking like your trying too hard. Luckily for modern bridesmaids, the trends are leaning in your favor. With more softly draped chiffons and trendy cocktail dresses making appearances, I am sure any bridesmaid would find an excuse to wear these lovely frocks again!

Brides are letting go of the idea that every bridesmaid must be wearing an identical dress in an identical color. By selecting a favorite designer, a bride can give her okay on color swatches, fabrics, and a selection of styles that her bridesmaids can choose from. That way each girl can choose the silhouette and color that is most flattering to her. 

It is customary for the bridesmaid to pay for her own dress, so when choosing the style, keep price in mind. 

Choose a selection of gowns at varying price points.

Some brides may just hand over color swatches from her wedding and let her bridesmaids choose a dress completely on their own. This definitely ups the odds that the bridesmaid dress can be worn again. 

Your bridesmaids are the girls you love! So show them some love when choosing out the dress they will be wearing on your wedding day!
