Makenzie

We had the pleasure of helping Makenzie find the dress of her dreams. Her Justin Alexander gown is pure loveliness from head to toe. The ivory lace is highlighted by the light gold satin underlay. We love that the buttons climb to the top of the neck, and venetian lace appliques adorn the illusion keyhole back.
Take a look at her ethereal and dreamy photos.
..

Congratulations Makenzie! We wish you and your new husband all the best.

Timeless Trendsetter

We know that on your wedding day you want to feel beautiful.
We want to help you focus on the details to keep your look modern and sophisticated. Playing with trends can be fun, but it is wise to consider how you want to feel when you look back at one of the most memorable days in your life. We want you to proudly display your wedding photos for years to come and avoid the excuse of "it was so in style".

Here are a few ideas to keep your look fashion forward and forever classic.

A modern bride should be focused on enhancing her style by adding accessories that play off her personality.Your bridal hair is important to your overall look and the right accessories can definitely make a statement.Your hair is also the perfect canvas to incorporate your "something old". Consider cutting a piece of lace from your mother's wedding dress to be worn in the hair, or redesigning your grandmother's veil to feel modern and fresh.

Your dress will of course be one of the focal points of your wedding day. By working with a knowledgeable bridal consultant, they can help you find the dress that fits your personality and introduce accessories that will create a look that is uniquely you.

Our bride Amanda fell in love with a vintage cut lace gown. The ivory lace pops off the oyster satin underlay. Matched perfectly with a modern sweetheart neckline and dramatic accessories, Amanda's look is glamorous but still very bridal.

Another great way to set your bridal look apart is to subtly add current trends to an overall classic gown. Our bride Andrea chose a lace gown with soft, wispy feathers set in the skirt. By keeping a monochromatic ivory color palette in her bouquet, her look feels chic and sophisticated.

If you have fallen in love with a dress inspired from a specific era, your photography will play a key role in keeping your wedding look fresh. We love this Sarah Seven tea length dress in this ultra modern setting.

Or, if you have ventured into true fashionista territory, you  can balance the fashion trend by capturing photos in a gorgeous classic setting.

The shoe is a very important piece in your bridal look. It is smart to be comfortable, it is also smart to be stylish! Our bride Katelin Jane chose a lovely pair of poppy red Valentino heels to wear on her wedding day. The fun vibrant color paired with the classic bow will be a style her grandchildren will admire.

Our bride Emily wore a modern metallic gold heel with her vintage inspired lace gown. A perfect reflection of her sense of style amplified on her wedding day.

All in all, your wedding day look should make you feel nothing less than spectacular. If you are searching for your gown or still need help accessorizing the look, our bridal consultants are here to help!

The Perfect Appointment

It is safe to say that every girl wants to be breathtaking on her wedding day. Even with all the beautiful details that have taken time and inspiration to plan, all eyes will ultimately land upon the beaming bride in her dress. Until the dress has been found however, this may seem like an overwhelming thought. Here at The Brides' Shop, we are ready to help you find the dress of your dreams. With trained and knowledgeable consultants, our goal is to make your shopping experience fun, exciting, and memorable. By taking note of the following guidelines, your shopping experience will be even more successful and stress free.

*Call in advance and set an appointment. Many bridal shops are happy to accept walk ins, but an appointment ensures one on one attention for the bride.

*Limit 2-3 friends or family to come along. The more opinions you have, the harder it is to please. You must remember that everyone has a different vision of the bride, the most important vision is yours.

*Begin your search at least 6 months before the wedding. Dresses are custom made by hand and take 4-5    months to be shipped. If alterations are needed, it is best to plan for more time. If the engagement is short, be  prepared to find a dress quickly. If lucky enough to find your dream dress in stock, you have to act quick, or risk the dress being sold to another willing bride.

*Be honest and open with your consultant. Their job is to help you find a dress you will love without the pressure of going over budget. Decide on a price range that you will feel comfortable staying within.

*Be open minded. It is always great to have a general idea of the dress you are searching for, however, a dress cannot be judged by the hanger. Some of the most beautiful gowns need to be showcased on a body.

*Consider alterations. Cost of alterations will vary depending on the nature of the work needed. At The Brides' Shop we offer exclusive in house alterations, allowing the bride to express her creativity and personal  touches to her gown.

*Don't stress. The most important factor in purchasing your wedding gown is to feel excited and beautiful when you are wearing it. There are thousands of beautiful gowns, your job is to find one that makes you feel incredible. If the shape is flattering, the fabric appealing, the color compliments your skin tone, and your smile cannot be wiped from your face... You have found your dress!

*Once the dress has been found, don't try on another wedding dress. Stop looking, embrace your decision, and move onto the next step of planning your wedding.

*The most important advice of all is to have fun! This is an exciting moment in your life and should be treasured. The consultants at The Brides' Shop understand this and hope to make your shopping experience a memorable one.

Jordyn

When Jordyn walked into our shop, we could see her sparkling personality instantly. After trying on only two other dresses she knew she had found the one with this Lis Simon organza beauty. She loved the fitted silhouette, the textured skirt, and the flattering ruched bodice; it was just missing a little something, sparkle!
We wrapped a stunning beaded sash around her waist and the dress was instantly Jordyn's.
Jordyn paid attention to all the other details of her look and added hints of sparkle to her accessories, shoes, even her bouquet.

It might be hard to believe that this beautiful gown started out strapless. With the help of our fantastic alterations team, Jordyn left with a custom sleeve that fit her perfectly.

Jordyn, we wish you and your new husband the best.
Thank you for sharing such a special day with us!

Natassja

Our beautiful bride Natassja married her sweetheart in a Justin Alexander Sweetheart Collection gown. This stunning satin ballgown was altered to fit Natassja perfectly. Our alterations team also created a modest sleeve to the previously strapless gown.

Natassja wore her hair in beautiful natural curls, accented with a vintage inspired hair comb.
A classic pearl necklace and pearl beaded belt complete the look.
We love her fresh bouquet of white tulips; crisp and classic to match her gown.

Congratulations to the newlyweds! We wish you all the best!
